Narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Tim Page this audiobook releases 8/31 but the ebook is available now.
This is the first book in a trilogy “The Introverts Guide To…” Speed Dating is the next book and the ebook released in July. Then the third will be Blind Dating to be released 8/17/21.
While this is a first for this trilogy it’s a spin off from 2 previous series following a group of friends. The One Night Stand Next Door/The Girl Next Door. The Bookworms Guide to Dating/Faking It/Flirting. While it’s not completely necessary to have read these books previously I can see where it would make the pay off of this book more enjoyable.
I have not read this author before so I did spend a portion of the beginning of this book wondering why the main characters hate each other? Or do they? This is an enemies with benefits/enemies to lovers. Apparently there is back story in the previous books to support that these two do not get along but are in the same friend group so they don’t want their friends to know when they become enemies with benefits.
This was a shorter audiobook coming in at less than 5 hours something you can easily listen to all in one day which is sometimes just what you need.
This was a great cast of characters especially the side jaunts to visit the wacky grandparents in the nursing home and their chickens.
I love the alternating male - female narration. The narrators were phenomenal and sound quality could not have been better.
This was a fun, short, small town, contemporary rom com with plenty of steam. I look forward to catching up on Emma Harts backlist. 5/5
